Introducing The Stanchies: Wyatt Arndt bringing post game coverage to CanucksArmy

Folks, we’ve got a major announcement.

It is with great honour and excitement that I announce the addition of Wyatt “The Stanchion” Arndt to the team at CanucksArmy, effective immediately.

Wyatt served as Jason Botchford’s post game backup writer on the Provies and Athletties, and after Botch’s passing in 2019, championed the Armies post game report alongside Thomas Drance and Harman Dayal at The Athletic.

Wyatt’s post game reports have become a must-read for many fans in this market and I’m thrilled and honoured that we are able to make CanucksArmy the exclusive home for them moving forward.

“I’m so excited to join CanucksArmy,” Arndt said. “Not just because I get to continue writing for the Canucks community but also because I get to keep Botch’s legacy going. Not just in terms of writing the community-based articles but in terms of getting to work with the next wave of future writers, and taking on a new challenge on a new platform. I cannot wait for the season to start to show everyone what we’ve got planned!”

After much deliberation and some absolutely terrible name choices, we have landed on The Stanchies as the name for our new post game coverage series.

To all of our loyal CA readers, we’re extremely excited for this upcoming season, and are beyond thrilled to bring you wall-to-wall coverage of your Vancouver Canucks all season long.
