Coyotes at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Louis Domingue gave up three third-period goals in a 5-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday. Vancouver has now lost three straight games in regulation and has been outscored 14 to seven over that stretch. The Canucks are 2-4-1 over their last seven games and have allowed four goals per game over this slump. Worse yet, Vancouver has fallen out of the top three in the Pacific Division; fortunately, the Canucks still have two games in hand over the Flames, who enter Wednesday one point ahead in the standings.
The Canucks will play each of their next four games at home. Vancouver is 20-7-4 at home this season per the OddsShark NHL Database.
Arizona beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 at home on Saturday night to improve to 4-1 over its last five home games. The Coyotes have been fantastic at home with recent wins over the Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals, but on the road they have fallen to 15-15-4 on the season due to a 1-9-1 record over their last 11 games away from home. That road slump includes a 3-1 loss to the Canucks back on January 16.
Wednesday night’s total is set at 5.5 goals at online sports betting sites. The OVER is 6-1 in Vancouver’s last seven games.
With the Vegas Golden Knights up to 82 points and the Edmonton Oilers right on their tail with 80, the race for the third spot in the Pacific Division seems to have boiled down to the Flames, Coyotes, and Canucks. Vancouver enters this matchup with two games in hand over Arizona and a two-point lead in the standings; a regulation win would give the Canucks a healthy lead over the Coyotes. The Canucks need to take advantage of this home game against Arizona as their remaining two games against the Coyotes both come on the road.
