CanucksArmy Presents: Nation Network Radio – Ep. 3

Nation Network Radio is back for its third episode of the season, hosted by TSN 1040 and presented by CanucksArmy.

This week, Jon Abbott and J.D. Burke get right into the Canucks’ surprising success to start the season and the 4-1 road trip that spawned it. They talk about Ben Hutton, Sven Baertschi, Sam Gagner, and of course, the goaltending — that’s always a storyline in town.

In the first hour of the show, the two are joined by CanucksArmy’s own Cory Hergott, who joined us this season to cover the Utica Comets with excellent game-by-game recaps. They talk about the veteran maximum situation, the team’s early success and the new head coach, Trent Cull. They also previewed the Comets pair of back-to-back matches against the Charlotte Checkers this past weekend.

In the second hour, they take listener questions, before Defending Big D’s own Taylor Baird joins the show to preview the Canucks match up with the Dallas Stars on Monday. They also discuss the adjustment for the Stars with Ken Hitchcock back behind the bench, and what it was like for Stars general manager Jim Nill to win another off-season — will success follow?
