The Canucks didn’t have their best effort on Tuesday night as they were outshot 42 to 25 in a 4-0 loss on the road to the Boston Bruins. But despite the loss, Vancouver enters the final game of their road trip with a 4-2-1 record in their last seven games on the road and a 14-4-1 record in their last 19 games overall. After this road trip, Vancouver will play its next six games at home, including a rematch against Boston.
In their last 16 games played in February, the Canucks are 4-12 on the moneyline per the OddsShark NHL Database.
Minnesota picked up a 3-2 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night to improve to 4-2 over its last six games. The Wild were just 1-5-1 over their previous seven games, but the team’s offense has come alive on this homestand averaging 3.67 goals per game. Like the Canucks, Minnesota has played significantly better at home this season with a 15-7-4 record compared to a 9-15-2 record on the road. Thursday night’s game will be the first of a back-to-back for the Wild; Minnesota is 7-1-1 in its last nine games on the front end of a back-to-back.
Thursday night’s total is set at six goals at online betting sites. The OVER is 8-4 in the last 12 games between the Canucks and Wild.
Vancouver caught Minnesota in the midst of a slump the last time these two teams met. The Wild have been playing better hockey of late and should provide the Canucks with a good test in the final game of their road trip. The Canucks bounced back from their last 4-0 loss with five straight wins and would love to do the same after Tuesday night’s loss.
