Canucks at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Canucks saw their eight-game point streak come to an end last night in a 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. With the loss, Vancouver fell to 1-3 on the moneyline over its last four games and to 2-13 on the moneyline in its last 15 games played in the month of November. Vancouver is still in great shape on the season with a 9-4-3 record, but avoiding a third straight loss and getting the offence flowing again in this one would be ideal. So far this season, the Canucks are 2-0 when playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
Vancouver is 0-7 in its last seven road games against Winnipeg per the OddsShark NHL Database. The Canucks’ last road win in Winnipeg came all the way back on March 12, 2014.
After winning their previous two games on the road, the Jets lost by a score of 2-1 in a shootout against the New Jersey Devils at home on Tuesday night. With the loss, Winnipeg fell to 3-4-1 at home this season, a far cry from the 57-19-6 record that the Jets have posted at home over the last two regular seasons. Winnipeg has also seen its offensive production dip heavily this season as well from 3.29 goals per game last season to 2.63 goals per game in 2019-20.
Friday night’s total is set at six goals at online sports betting sites. The UNDER is 5-0 in Winnipeg’s last five games at home.
The Jets rank 25th in the NHL in scoring this season while the Canucks rank fifth in goals against allowing only 2.50 goals per game. Another shutdown performance from the defence and goaltender Thatcher Demko could be the ticket to snapping Vancouver’s long losing streak against Winnipeg.
