Canucks at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Even on nights like last Tuesday when they aren’t at their best, the Canucks are finding ways to earn points this season. Vancouver would eventually go on to lose 2-1, but a Quinn Hughes goal with 3:35 remaining on the clock pushed the game into overtime to extend Vancouver’s point streak to eight games at 5-0-3. Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser are leading an impressive offence to 3.47 goals per game this season, but it’s Vancouver’s defence and goaltending allowing only 2.33 goals per game that have been even more consistent.
Over their last five road games, the Canucks are 4-0-1 per the OddsShark NHL Database.
The Blackhawks wrapped up an unsuccessful four-game road trip with a 1-2-1 record on Tuesday night, losing 4-2 to the San Jose Sharks and falling to 4-7-3 on the season. Chicago ranked eighth in the NHL in scoring last season with 3.26 goals per game, but that production has fallen all the way down to just 2.36 goals per game in 2019-20, ranked 29th in the NHL. Patrick Kane is the only player on the team who has recorded more than nine points with four goals and nine assists. The Blackhawks are 1-5 in their last six games as a home underdog.
Thursday night’s total is set at 6.5 goals at betting sites. The OVER is 8-1 in the last nine games between Vancouver and Chicago.
The Canucks had only one win in their last 11 games played in the month of November last season. After starting this season off with an impressive 9-3-3 record, Vancouver will try to avoid a November slump this season to keep the momentum going into December and beyond.
