Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Alert the masses: The Canucks finally lost a hockey game, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Vancouver had their chances early and even held a 2-1 lead going into the second, but Toronto’s bottom six scored some key goals to propel them to victory.
Vancouver will look to end their three game eastern Canadian road trip with a positive record as they visit the iconic Bell Centre in Montreal. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

Player Prop

Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -167. My $12.50 bet would return $20.
Pettersson has been firing away tallying 16 shots in his last four games which is an average of four per game. I like him here at a full unit against a Montreal team that’s bottom five in shots against.

Player Prop

Quinn Hughes to register a powerplay point at +115. My $10 bet would return$21.50.
Hughes had his worst performance of the season in Toronto on Saturday night and you just know the Canucks’ captain will get it back in blood. Hughes has been absolutely rolling with the man advantage scoring seven points with the extra man in his last five games. We will deploy .8 units on this play.

Player Prop

Fillip Hronek to score anytime at +500. My $6.75 would return $33.75.
We’re up on the year, so let’s have some fun here this is simply a case of this player is “due.” Hronek has tallied 25 shots thus far this season and has yet to find the back of the net, I am okay putting a half a unit here and going with my gut.

Last Game Bets

William Nylander to register over 3.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83  – HIT
Elias Pettersson to register over 1.5 points at +187. My $10 bet would return $28.75. – MISSED
Both teams to combine for over 6.5 goals at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83. – HIT
We hit both our full unit plays, we staked $35 and returned $41.66. We are now up $133.89(10.7 units)  on the year.
