Thank you for choosing to spend the first day of 2016 here, reading about the Vancouver Canucks and the fun things that they do. Here’s to another year full of off-ice fun to distract from the actual hockey!
- This photo of Ryan Miller and his son decorating their Christmas tree is adorable, especially because of the little gate holding the baby back from actually touching the tree.
- Let Matt Bartkowski take you on a minor hockey tour of Pittsburgh. The best part of this video is Matt Bartkowski’s American drawl. It’s amazing. Surprises me every time. Also good are some of those old photographs.

- A newspaper in Smithers printed a get well soon message for hometown boy Dan Hamhuis. Keep being cute, Smithers!
- Jake Virtanen is not having the best time at the World Juniors, but he talked to Cabbie about Finland and it was fun. Virtanen, Mitch Marner, and Dylan Strome attempt and mostly fail to say useful English phrases such as “Will you be in my selfie?” in Finnish.
- On Monday night, the Canucks celebrated the lives of Canucks who have passed away. The video tribute was very nicely done and worth watching if you want to get a little bit emotional about some of the great players and characters that left us too soon.
