Abbotsford Canucks name 24 players to 2022 training camp roster

The Abbotsford Canucks have named 24 players (12 forwards, 10 defencemen, and two goaltenders) to their 2022 training camp roster, the club announced Wednesday.
The Canucks’ AHL training camp is taking place at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. The roster features 16 players who appeared in at least one game with Abbotsford during the 2021–22 regular season.

Forwards (12):
- Matt Alfaro
- Vincent Arseneau
- Arshdeep Bains
- Carson Focht
- Marc Gatcomb
- Yushiroh Hirano
- Danila Klimovich
- Will Lockwood
- Tristen Nielsen
- Michael Regush
- John Stevens
- Chase Wouters
Defencemen (10):
- Matt Anderson
- Guillaume Brisebois
- Noah Juulsen
- Alex Kannok-Leipert
- Wyatt Kalynuk
- Brady Keeper
- Dylan MacPherson
- Chad Nychuk
- Quinn Schmiemann
- Jett Woo
Goaltenders (2):
- Michael DiPietro
- Arturs Silovs
Stevens, Juuslsen, Keeper, and Brisebois all cleared waivers on Wednesday. Goaltender Collin Delia also passed through waivers but was not initially named to the training camp roster.
Abbotsford finished fifth in the AHL Pacific Division in 2021–22 with a 39–23–6 record — good for 84 points — before being swept by the Bakersfield Condors in the first round of the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Canucks will play their first game of the 2022–23 AHL season against the Ontario Reign on Oct. 14. Their home opener at Abbotsford Centre is scheduled for Oct. 28 against the San Diego Gulls.
