The field for the 2026 Memorial Cup is officially set.
On Tuesday night, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens became the fourth and final team to clinch a spot in this year’s tournament, joining the host Kelowna Rockets, OHL champion Kitchener Rangers, and WHL champion Everett Silvertips.
And if you thought the season was over for Canucks fans, think again. The four-team event, hosted in Kelowna, BC, will feature two Canucks prospects for fans to enjoy.

Parker Alcos and the host Kelowna Rockets

Vancouver Canucks 2024 sixth-round pick Parker Alcos secured his Memorial Cup berth the moment he was dealt from the Edmonton Oil Kings to the host Kelowna Rockets at the WHL trade deadline.
Although the Rockets were eliminated in the second round of the WHL playoffs by the eventual champion Everett Silvertips, they remained locked into the tournament as hosts and have been waiting in the wings ever since.
Kelowna aggressively loaded up ahead of the Memorial Cup, adding several notable names around an already strong core. Their roster features a high-end NHL prospect, Tij Iginla (Utah Mammoth), as well as a few additional names to keep tabs on, such as Vojtěch Čihař (Los Angeles Kings) and Carson Wetsch (San Jose Sharks).
Alcos, a (reported) 2026-27 Quiniipiac (NCAA) commit, wrapped up a career season in 2025–26, finishing with 30 points (five goals, 25 assists) and a plus-43 split between Edmonton and Kelowna.

Gabe Chiarot and the OHL champion Kitchener Rangers

The first league champion to punch its ticket was the Kitchener Rangers, home to Vancouver Canucks 2025 sixth-round pick Gabe Chiarot. Kitchener swept the Barrie Colts in four games to capture the OHL championship, with Chiarot contributing four points in the final series to cap off a strong postseason run.
The energetic forward finished the playoffs with 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 18 games while emerging as one of Kitchener’s most reliable middle-six contributors.
The Rangers enter the tournament with one of the deepest rosters in junior hockey, led by three-time OHL Champion Sam O’Reilly (Tampa Bay Lightning), Jack Pridham (Chicago Blackhawks), Luca Romano (New York Islanders), Christian Humphreys (Colorado Avalanche), defender Jared Woolley (Los Angeles Kings), and 2026 draft-eligible blueliner Alexander Bilecki.

Everett Silvertips capture the WHL

The Everett Silvertips secured the WHL championship for the first time in franchise history after defeating Braeden Cootes and the Prince Albert Raiders in five games.
Everett was the CHL’s top regular-season team after posting a dominant 57-8-2-1 record and now enters the Memorial Cup as the tournament favourites by many. The Silvertips are loaded with talent, including WHL playoff MVP Julius Miettinen (Seattle Kraken), Carter Bear (Detroit Red Wings), Tarin Smith (Anaheim Ducks), and projected 2027 first-overall pick Landon Dupont.

Chicoutimi rounds out the field

Finally, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens became the QMJHL representative after defeating the Moncton Wildcats in six games.
The Saguenéens are headlined by Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Massé, who led the QMJHL in scoring during the regular season with 102 points (51 goals, 51 assists) in 63 games before adding another 24 points in 20 playoff contests en route to playoff MVP honours.
