It’s finally over, folks.
We can stop discussing the what-ifs of J.T. Miller’s future as a Vancouver Canuck.
The Canucks announced late Friday afternoon that they have officially re-signed their leading scorer from last season to a 7-year contract worth $8 million annually.
Last season with the Canucks, Miller tallied 99 points while being a mainstay on both the power play and penalty kill.
After he was the subject of trade rumours for month, with both sides saying publicly they weren’t sure a deal could be reached that made sense for both sides, Miller has signed.
And wouldn’t you know it, he re-signed on the same day of the birth of his son, Owen Edward Miller!

UPDATE 4:40 PM: According to David Pagnotta, Miller’s contract has a full no-move clause for the first four years of the contract, and a modified no-trade list in the final three years.
