EF reports that the Ducks are going to interview Travis Green for their vacant head coaching job very soon. Boudreau, as I write this, is in Ottawa preparing to meet with Crazy Larry and the Lunatic Fringe. And then there is Tre. He’s screwing around in Leningrad doing that piddley job for a tournament that nobody in Canada, including the guys playing for Canada, give two hoots about. Great, Tre! Let all the top-rung coaches get snapped up and you are left to settle for the likes of Davis “Who did I coach for again without googling” Payne or Mike “Edmonton, please help me save my job” Yeo. The most important piece of business the Flames need to do this offseason is find the right coach, and here is Tre making like he is Hitler preparing to take Leningrad. Flames are in great hands!

EXACTLY – whilst the bloggers and geeky plastic Canuck fans here were waffling on about lowly Draft picks and advanced stats etc I was diligently questioning WHY there was no mention of Calgary and Anaheim… you know two direct division rivals… firing their coaches, in turn leading to TRAVIS GREEN coming into play as Freidman has now confirmed.

Meanwhile, awful Wille D continues to get out-coached and humiliated on live TV by CBC commentators yet his perceived successor is gonna get picked up elsewhere in the NHL- now THAT’S news!

Here’s a list of topics that NEED to be addressed ahead of a draft where no one outside the top 3 is NHL ready… CBC’s assessment there folks.

      1. Division rivals Calgary and Anaheim firing their coaches and Travis Green now in line for an NHL gig not in Vancouver.

      2. Gary Bettman fixing the NHL draft so Vancouver gets nowhere near a top pick or a Stanley Cup final ever again after shaming the league TWICE. Bettman has a long memory and an agenda.

      3. Trader Jim getting rid of a potential Conn Smythe candidate in Nick Bonino whose playoff stats embarrass his replacement.

      4. Trader Jim letting quality depth like Brad Richardson, Shawn Matthias, Radim Vrbata and probaly Dan Hamhuis walk away for NOTHING replacing their like with plugs like Etem, Granlund and Sbisa.

Like the Penns and Sharks up your game people and get off this redundant crapshoot called the draft eh…
