Fast Facts
> All I Wanted For Xmas Was A Working Tendon: For the second straight game, Vancouver will meet a defense that welcomes an inured starter back into their fold. In the Blues’ case, it’s Roman Polak who moves off the IR and returns to action for the first time since October. That completes the Blues D in front of Halak, along with Eric Brewer, Erik Johnson, Barret Jackman, Carlo Colaiacovo and Alex Pietrangelo (well maybe). Polak may draw the Sedins, so it’s a match-up to keep your eye on.
> Successfully Stopping Steen: Steen factored in on all three goals in the first meeting between the team’s this year, including adding the game winner. With all the Blues injuries up front, Steen has developed into one of their principal threats and should be seeing plenty of Edler and Bieksa looking to keep him off the board.
> Danish Delight: With Raymond still on the mend, it’s Jannik Hansen who gets the promotion to Kesler’s line. While not the most gifted player, Hansen has been spectacular this year in his limited minutes, leading all forwards with hits and being one of Vancouver’s top PK’ers to boot. With Tambellini completing the second line and Mikael Samuelsson relegated to Malhotra’s line again, Vigneault can comfortably roll three speedy lines, each of which includes has a 20+ goal scorer.
