WWYDW: Junior Jumble

The World Juniors are approaching! In fact, they’re just a few weeks away, and many players have been invited to their country’s respective selection camps. Canada’s list did not include two of their highest profile eligible names in Jake Virtanen and Jared McCann, but that’s for a good reason; they’re in the NHL.
If the opportunity came for either of the Canucks teenagers to jump over into the Under-20 tournament, there’s no doubt that Team Canada would take them.
Virtanen represented the country at least year’s tournament in Montreal-Toronto, and put up four points in seven games. A year’s additional experience could only help his odds. McCann missed out on last year’s tournament  but has played for Canada at the U17 and U18 levels. He proved his worth with fantastic production throughout the 2014/15 season, and with the NHL ability he’s shown would likely be able to decimate the competition in Helsinki.
Network Overlord and handsome man Thomas Drance argued in favour of sending Virtanen to the tournament, but keeping McCann with the Canucks. Our question to you follows along the same lines: Who do you send? Do you give Hockey Canada only one of the kids? Both? Or do you keep them both with the Canucks. Leave your thoughts below.

Two Weeks Ago

We didn’t have a WWYDW last week, so let’s go back to some of your thoughts on how the Canucks could snap out of their post-road trip funk. They may still be relevant now, seeing as the team, well, hasn’t snapped out of it yet.
Goon
“Give Markstrom the next start and see how he fares – Miller has been bad lately.
Beyond that, work with the defence on their in-zone coverage. The Canucks D have been very good at moving the puck when they get it, but seem to be struggling to get it in the first place.
Don’t make any big lineup changes. Don’t do something silly like scratching Vrbata (who has been good but unlucky so far). Maybe play a guy like Grenier over a Cracknell or Dorsett and see what he can bring, but otherwise, stick with what we’ve got.”
BB
“Make it clear to Miller & Markstrom that there is an open competition for starts.
We don’t have an all star goalie signed for another decade.
May the best man win.
Hopefully Markstrom since he’s younger and could be the starter for a few years.”
PB
“Move Vrbata back to the Sedin line, put Burrows and Hansen on Horvat’s line, Baertschi and Higgins with McCann, hopefully Prust back with Dorsett and I guess Cracknell (though I hope Sutter comes back soon and pushes McCann down a line), Edler-Tanev, Hamhuis-Weber, Sbisa-Hutton. Bartkowski has looked disastrous. Markstrom should be splitting starts with Miller. Change up the PP, move Hutton to the first unit with Edler, Weber-Hamhuis on the second.
Fire Glen Gulutzan into the sun.”
Ruprecht
“Bench Willie for the 3rd.”
