It appears the Vancouver Canucks will be playing the Winnipeg Jets in an exhibition game.
Both teams will play in the game in between July 27th and August 1st when the play-in tournament starts. Sportsnet Elliotte Friedman broke the news of the game Tuesday afternoon.
The regional bend doesn’t quite happen for the Canucks with the Winnipeg Jets being a few provinces away, but nonetheless it’s going to be great to see some NHL action once again.
Vancouver faced the Jets twice in the 2019-20 campaign losing both games. The first was a 4-1 loss on November 8th and the second a 4-0 loss on January 14th.
