Vancouver Canucks Thatcher Demko injured, Arturs Silovs set to back-up

The Vancouver Canucks announced that Thatcher Demko suffered a lower body injury in the morning skate today and is now considered day-to-day.
Arturs Silovs, 20, will serve as the back-up to Braden Holtby tonight against the Ottawa Senators.
Silovs was drafted by the Canucks in 2019 in the 6th round, but hasn’t played much this year. He appeared in eight games in Latvia — six club games and two international — and a lone game for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
It’s rather unfortunate timing for the Canucks, as they sent down Michael DiPietro to the Utica Comets yesterday to finally get some games in.
Although it’s unlikely we see Silovs get a start, Vancouver does have a loaded schedule this week, with four games in six nights including two against the Leafs.
There’s still no timeline for when Demko will return to the club.
