The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Nils Hoglander to an entry-level contract.
Drafted by the Canucks 40th overall in the 2019 draft, Hoglander spent last season with Rogle BK in the SHL where he scored nine goals and 16 points in 41 games.
He ranked third in scoring at the 2020 World Juniors scoring 5-6—11 in seven games helping Sweden get a gold medal.
“Nils is a dynamic player with a high skill level and a strong work ethic,” Canucks GM Jim Benning said in a statement.
“He’s a creative playmaker with great hands and goal scoring abilities. We’re pleased to sign Nils today and look forward to seeing continued development in his game next season.”
