The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed forward @Adam Gaudette to a one-year contract extension, the club announced.
The deal, inked Monday, will pay Gaudette $950,000.
“Adam has been an excellent young player for us and we are happy to have him continue his progress for another year in Vancouver,” said GM Jim Benning in a statement. “We look forward to his intensity and compete level continuing to be a great source of energy for our team.”
Gaudette, 24, played in 59 games last year scoring 12 goals and 33 points. The former fifth-round pick of the club in 2015 also appeared in 10 playoff games scoring no points.
Over the last three years, Gaudette has played in 120 NHL games scoring 17 goals and 45 points.
According to hockeyviz.com, Gaudette contributed offence at a five percent rate below league average and defence at a one percent rate above league average. He was a solid powerplay option, too, contributing at a three percent rate above league average.
Vancouver has four RFA’s left to sign: @Jake Virtanen, @Jalen Chatfield, @Guillaume Briseboise and @Justin Bailey.
