Vancouver Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes named to all-star game

Vancouver Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes has been named to the all-star game.
The electric rearguard was voted in by fans as the “last man in.”
Hughes, 20, is the 11th Canucks defenceman named to the game.
The other Canucks defencemen named to the All-Star Game include: Ed Jovanovski (2003, 2002 and 2001), Mattias Ohlund (1999), Paul Reinhart (1989), Harold Snepsts (1982 and 1977), Kevin McCarthy (1981), Lars Lindgren (1980), Tracy Pratt (1975), Jocelyn Guevremont (1974) and Dale Tallon (1972 and 1971).
Hughes is currently third among rookies in scoring with 31 points (4-7—31) in 44 games this season. He also is in the lead for Canucks defencemen in scoring, power play points (3-13-16) and ranks third among Canucks defencemen in average time on ice (21:22).
The all-star weekend takes place on Jan. 24-25.
