This week in 2003 (Feb. 23), Markus Naslund became the first Canuck to score 40 goals in three straight seasons.

Naslund scored 129 goals in 235 games with the Canucks between 2000 and 2003 scoring seasons of 41, 40 and 48 goals, respectively.

One of the best to ever play for the Canucks, nobody has come close to breaking Naslund’s record. There’s only been two 40 goal seasons by players for the Canucks both of which came in the 2010-11 season.

Ryan Kesler and Daniel Sedin both scored 41 goals for the Canucks that year, a career high for both players. In fact, there’s only been two player since then to score 30 or more goals in a season — Radim Vrbata was the one who notched 31 goals in 2014-15, and Daniel Sedin who scored 30 in 2011-12.

Brock Boeser came close in 2017-18 scoring 29 goals.
