After much anticipation, the Canucks Army Radio show is finally off the ground and running. Jon Abbot and I went into the TSN studios on Friday to record the first episode of Canucks Army Radio, which aired at midnight on Friday and will air again this Saturday after the post-game show on TSN 1040 AM.
We had a great set of guests this week. We start with Hockey Prospect Radio’s Shane Malloy, who joins us to chat prospects and the long-term outlook for Olli Juolevi. Not long after, Canucks Army’s Catherine Silverman, who also writes for The Athletic Chicago and In-Goal Media, brings a goaltender’s perspective to the Canucks crease to evaluate their short and long-term outlook in net. Last, but certainly not least, Sporting News Canada’s Murray Pam, who covers the Ottawa Senators, hops on to talk about Alexandre Burrows evolution within the Senators organization and how he’s been received by the team and city since joining them at the trade deadline last season.
The good people at TSN have broken the show up into two one-hour segments, and I’ll provide the links for both below. It’s two hours of the most detailed Canucks analysis that you can find on the radio! Join us next week, in our usual time slot, between 3-5 on Saturday for our first live recording of the show. We promise to bring another great set of guests.
