On Friday’s episode of Canucks Conversation, Chris Faber and Harman Dayal discussed a number of topics surrounding the Vancouver Canucks.
Recorded the day after Thursday night’s 7-2 win over the San Jose Sharks, Harman and Chris discussed Filip Hronek’s Canucks debut in depth. The 25-year-old right shot defenceman’s impact was felt right away, as Quinn Hughes was finally not the Canucks’ high-minute man. Instead, it was Hronek who logged a team-high 24:25 of ice time, with Hughes coming in at 23:29.
Hopefully, Hronek’s addition to the Canucks’ defence corps means that Hughes’ days of logging close to 30 minutes on a nightly basis will be behind him. As Harman and Chris said, Hronek showed plenty of good things in his debut, and made it obvious why the Canucks would give up a first and second round pick ahead of the trade deadline for his services.

On top of Hronek’s debut, the guys also talked about the legendary career of Canucks colour commentator John Garrett, who announced that this will be his final season in the role after manning it for over 20 years. Cheech is a legend in this market, and is somebody that — despite their difference in age — Harman and Chris both grew up listening to. Watch that conversation below!
