The status of Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alex Edler is up in the air for Friday’s game six matchup against the St. Louis Blues.
Edler left the game last night after taking a skate to the side of the head. Rushed off the ice suffering an apparent cut to the ear, Edler didn’t return for the third period.
Teammate Jordie Benn said Edler was “fine and ready to rock,” while head coach Travis Green remained mum about Edler’s status.
During today's media call Coach was unable to confirm if Alex Edler will return to the line-up on Friday, but said he remains hopeful.
Nonetheless, it will be a storyline to follow ahead of tomorrow’s game.
