<p>Another thing Dhaliwal gave updates on is the situations surrounding Canucks prospects Jacob Truscott and Jack Malone. Both players will be returning to their NCAA teams instead of turning pro and signing with the Canucks.</p>
<p>Truscott turned 21 today and put up four goals and 12 assists through 23 games with the University of Michigan. Truscott&#8217;s most consistent defence partner was Luke Hughes, who made his NHL debut on Tuesday night with the New Jersey Devils. There&#8217;s a good chance that Truscott will be named Michigan&#8217;s captain heading into next season. The Canucks selected Truscott in the 5th round at 144th overall of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.</p>
<p>As for Malone, the 22-year-old forward will be heading back to Cornell for his fifth season of NCAA hockey. The Canucks drafted Malone in the 6th round at 180th overall back in 2019. He put up eight goals and nine assists through 34 games with Cornell this past season.</p>
