It’s been a hectic few weeks in the NHL with the Expansion Draft, Entry Draft, and Jule 1st Free Agency all taking place within the course of 12 days. For Jim Benning and company, I would honestly say it’s been a successful offseason so far. Losing Sbisa to Vegas was inevitable, but management and the scouting staff did a great job at the draft in Chicago, then backed it up with some solid free agency signings. Although the top free agents are now unavailable, don’t be surprised if the Canucks sign a few more depth players for the Utica Comets.
