The Games
It was Jannik Hansen’s return to Rogers Arena and he put on a show. By no means was a superstar, but he was typical Jannik Hansen. The Canucks announced the re-signing of Jayson Megna shortly before the game started, which was odd. Ryan Miller put on a Canucks MVP-worthy performance got no goal support in return.
This game is what you would call a “must lose” if you are a draftist, and that is exactly what they did. It was actually a pretty entertaining game despite it being battle of the bottom-feeders. Brock Boeser scored a beauty as well.
This was another “must lose” game for the draftists. The Canucks sat 29th with Arizona and New Jersey above them by a single point. One point seems minimal, but it makes a large difference regarding the draft lottery. Much to the satisfaction of Canucks fans, they lost and the one game remaining determines the team’s fate.
