Dates for NHL draft, free agency set

The National Hockey League has set the dates for the 2020 NHL draft and the opening of free agency.
The draft will be held on Oct. 6-7 while free agency will kick off days later on Oct. 9th.
The NHL’s first round of the draft will be held virtually on Oct. 6 starting at 4 p.m. PST with the second round kicking off the next day at 8:30 am PST.
Free agency, meanwhile, kicks off on Oct. 9 at 9 am PST.
The Vancouver Canucks hold picks in each of rounds three, four, five, six, and seven.
