Daniel Wagner is joining the CanucksArmy editorial team

It gives me great pleasure to share the news that Daniel Wagner is joining the CanucksArmy team!
When Daniel shared the news last week that his former place of work was no longer interested in covering the Vancouver Canucks and that he had been let go, we immediately began working on bringing Daniel to the CA team. Daniel’s signature sense of humour and unique flavour of Canucks coverage have been a staple in this market for over a decade with the blog Pass it to Bulis (which now lives on Substack!).
Daniel will be bringing a weekly column to the site called Wagner’s Weekly (although we are happy to take suggestions for a better name for the column, as always). You can expect to see Wagner’s first article on the site go live on Sunday morning!
“I am thrilled to be joining the CanucksArmy team as a weekly columnist,” Wagner said. “In a challenging media environment, CanucksArmy has grown into an indispensable part of the coverage of the Canucks, and I can’t wait to add my voice to the already fantastic analysis and reporting on the site.”
On top of his Canucks reporting, Daniel is also the author of the book On the Clock: Vancouver Canucks: Behind the Scenes with the Vancouver Canucks at the NHL Draft.
Wagner joins an already loaded CanucksArmy roster that currently features longtime voices associated with Canucks coverage, including Jeff Paterson and Wyatt Arndt. We are incredibly grateful to be able to add Wagner’s prose to our mix of offerings for Canucks fans here at the site. On top of his written work, you can expect to see Wagner make appearances on various CanucksArmy shows, beginning today with today’s episode of Canucks Conversation, hosted by me and Harman Dayal of The Athletic. Catch the show live at 2 PM below!
