Welcome to the yearly wrap up of the top read articles over the last year!
Roberto Luongo is truly a gift that’s kept on giving. And an article published on Aug. 8 was about another gift that he gave to the Canucks, in a way.
The article detailed how Luongo reportedly had a clause allowing him to not play in back-to-backs on the road and that was the 20th most read piece this year.
It was revealed during a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast where former Canucks teammate Kevin Bieksa made the comment. The clause is… interesting to say the least and even sparked a bit of confusion from Luongo himself, who tweeted “Wut????” in response to Bieksa’s comment.
The truth is, we just may never know if this was actually a thing or not. Until then, speculate away.
