The Vancouver Canucks have drafted Danila Klimovich with the 41st overall pick of the 2021 NHL Draft.
The 18-year-old Belarussian centre/left winger had a strong showing at the U18s and has been a tough player to scout.
The initial reaction seems to be a positive one, as many scouts are very high on Klimovich’s offensive abilities. His shot and high motor give him a good foundation to forge out an NHL career, but his skating leaves something to be desired.
He also has a physical element to his game that many Canucks fans will love to see.
Chris Faber will have a full deep dive with video into Klimovich’s game posted shortly.
