Canucks sign 2017 2nd Round Pick Jonah Gadjovich to 3 year ELC

Oct 16, 2017, 17:20 EDT
The Canucks have locked up 2017 2nd round pick Jonah Gadjovich to a three-year entry-level contract this afternoon.
Gadjovich is off to a very good start in his draft plus one season with Owen Sound posting 5 goals and 4 assists in 8 games this season. He started the year off with a 7 game point streak, was held pointless on Friday and then missed Owen Sounds’ last game.

Gadjovich is known for his power forward game and his play this season just re-affirms that with his goals all coming in front of the net. Gadjovich will have to improve his skating to take the next step, but the young winger recognizes that and has made it a priority. Gadjovich has been averaging 4.38 shots per game, which is an extremely encouraging sign. He has been regularly playing with Vegas Golden Knights 1st round pick Nick Suzuki and undrafted Kevin Hancock and they have been downright dominant to start the season.
The 6’2″ and 200 lbs winger will finish his season in the OHL.
