Cory HergottIt appears that the Vancouver Canucks have recalled goaltender Richard Bachman from Utica today.
I reached out to Rick Dhaliwal of News 1130 Sports to see if he had heard anything and he soon sent out this tweet.
Markstrom was supposed to start last game but was swapped out in favour of Anders Nilsson, so a minor injury makes some sense. That said, it is also getting close to the trade deadline, so there is always the outside chance that there are other moves afoot.
Bachman has played in 21 games this season for the Comets, earning a 2.89 goals against average and putting up a save percentage of 0.899. He has a record of 10-7-0 and has won six straight games and has gone 10 without a regulation loss.
