As much as many fans appreciated the Canucks freefall  to 28th overall, cheering against your favourite team is not that fun! To finish off the season, the Power Tankings are flipping back into Power Rankings and we’re counting down this team from best to worst to worse-than-worst!
1. Daniel Sedin:
Daniel Sedin was so obviously the most valuable player to this team this season and made it all the more fun by losing every ounce of chill he ever had:
There were some cool, more vintage D. Sedin moments, too:

The best Daniel moment (and maybe the best team moment) of the season came when he combined his two identities and sparked a line brawl after scoring a beautiful goal. He is the best.

2. Bo Horvat:
The sophomore slump was pretty real for young Bowie but by the time the season came to a close, he was the most exciting part of this team. Considering the spot he was put in with Sutter’s injuries, Bo was very fun to watch, which is impressive for a member of the 2015/16 Vancouver Canucks. This goal came in an essentially meaningless game, but wow:

3. Jannik Hansen:
It takes a special kind of player to win an Unsung Hero award three times. Hansen played the role of Third Sedin this season and did so with great success, putting up a career-high 22 goals. On top of all of this, Hansen cemented his place as the best quote on the team:

4. Chris Tanev:
Despite suffering from injuries and a lack of Alex Edler this season, Tanev was a bright spot on the Canucks abysmal back-end. Tanev’s selection of Nelly’s “Hot in Herre” as his personal goal song was the most interesting thing Tanev has ever done. Also, this happened to him:

5. Henrik Sedin:
It feels wrong to have Henrik Sedin so low on this list, but he wasn’t himself for much of the season due to nagging injuries. He is Henrik Sedin, though, so he still did some cool stuff:

6. Ben Hutton:
Ben Hutton was easily the nicest surprise of the season. He is not ready to be a top-pairing defenseman, but he is a joy to watch and did well in the absence of so many veteran defenseman throughout the season. Plus, his antics are ridiculously gif-able:

7. Sven Baertschi:
Sven was also a nice story, playing well and eventually putting it all together to get results that reflected his play:
8. Jacob Markstrom:
Jacob Markstrom had a very nice season! The Canucks spent a lot of time in their own end and Markstrom made that kind of fun sometimes!
9. Ryan Miller:
Ryan Miller also had a good season. I think he’s less happy than Markstrom, though, because he is old and probably tired of dealing with so many shots.
10. Dan Hamhuis:
It was a bit of a rough year for Dan Hamhuis. After a tough start to the season, he took a jaw-shattering puck to the face and was forced to drink exclusively smoothies for weeks. Then he was going to be traded, but did not get traded. Despite this, Hamhuis finished off the season well and is totally Team Dad:
11. Nikita Tryamkin:
Nikita Tryamkin played 13 games this season but he’s already on his way to becoming a legend, probably.
12. Jake Virtanen:
Jake “Big Country” Virtanen had an up and down season – he went from goat to GOAT, lighting it up after the World Juniors, but scandal struck when he befriended Justin Bieber and later got suspended. The good was pretty good though.

13. Jared McCann:
McCann still looks a little small, but he showed fans flashed of those almost-famous Jared McHands:
14. Alex Burrows:
If Alex Burrows has indeed played his final game as a Canuck, the hockey gods allowed for a little bit of magic on Saturday night. After scoring a nifty shootout goal, Burrows got a chance to do his bow-and-arrow celebration for the late Luc Bourdon:
15. Linden Vey:
It’s hard to have opinion about Linden Vey but he had some nice moments this season.
16. Emerson Etem:
Emerson Etem was the return on one of Jim Benning’s more agreeable moves this season. He isn’t all-world, but he is fast and kind of fun. His dog is amazing.
17. Luca Sbisa:
Luca Sbisa missed a good chunk of the year due to various injuries and no one really got a chance to talk about his pizzas this season because they were too busy gaping at Matt Bartkowski. Also, he dabbed.
18. Brendan Gaunce:
Brendan Gaunce seems like a nice kid and it was good to see him hold his own in the NHL. He scored an ugly one for his first in the NHL, but it went in and that’s what matters!

19. Derek Dorsett:
Derek Dorsett is a great culture guy. He is a mentor to Bo Horvat and the youth of this team.
20. Alex Biega:
I don’t know if Alex Biega needed to be given a new contract, but he tried his best this year, so good for him!
21. Markus Granlund:
It’s not Markus Granlund’s fault that Jim Benning moved Hunter Shinkaruk for him. He had nice moments in the limited time as a Canuck, so we will see!
22. Alex Edler:
Alex Edler broke his fibula in February, which was probably slightly less painful than watching the Canucks attempt to enter the zone on their power play without him.
23. Andrey Pedan:
Andrey Pedan was full of surprises this season. On top of playing time as a forward, he cleaned up at the Canucks Superskills event. Who’d have thought?
 24. Matt Bartkowski:
We all know what Matt Bartkowski is as a hockey player. Despite this, Bartkowski gave us one of the best moments of the season when he scored a goal for his mother. Beth Bartkowski forever. If the Canucks do re-sign Matt, at least we know that Beth is happy.

25. Yannick Weber:
Last season, Yannick Weber helped to run the Canucks power play and scored 11 goals. This season he did not see significant PP time and he scored 0 goals.
26. Chris Higgins:
Remember when the Canucks tried to trade Chris Higgins by announcing in on Instagram and Twitter? 2016 is wild.

27. Radim Vrbata:
Radim Vrbata scored a hat trick this season and I don’t remember what else he did.
28. Brandon Sutter:
Brandon Sutter played only 20 games this season. He did some cool stuff before his sports hernia surgery and before his broken jaw, but it really didn’t feel like he played this season. Poor Brandon.

29. Brandon Prust:
Brandon Prust played for the Canucks this season and that’s something.
