Jan 18, 2016, 13:00 ESTUpdated:

This week welcomes the return of a smiling Luca Sbisa, some guy named Ryan Miller, and everyone’s favourite power rankings rule!
1. Ben Hutton:
It’s been a while, but the first NHL goal rule is back, so Ben Hutton leads the way this week. Hutton – who is smiley at the worst of times – was thrilled to get his first. Aww.
2. Bo Horvat:
The kid stayed hot this week, scoring his first career overtime winner in stylish fashion.
3. Daniel Sedin:
Daniel Sedin tied Markus Naslund’s franchise goalscoring record this week. The goals were nice, especially this one:
But the stare-down celebration after his OT winner was probably better:
4. Ryan Miller:
Miller returned from injury in Washington and took the loss, despite playing well. In New York, his play was even more impressive and he left with the win, despite facing 48 shots.
5. Jacob Markstrom:
Vancouver loves its goaltending controversies. Jacob Markstrom also stole a victory for the Canucks, who are not playing a particularly goalie-friendly style of hockey right now.
6. Radim Vrbata:
Radim Vrbata secured a victory in Brooklyn with a very fancy little backhander.
7. Sven Baertschi:
Eye test: Horvat and Baertschi are good together. Fancy stats: same.
8. Emerson Etem:
Emerson Etem has impressed in his four games as a Canuck. He is fast and he draw penalties. Keep it up, Emerson.
9. Chris Tanev:
Chris Tanev is still Chris Tanev. And yet.
10. Linden Vey:
I don’t think any Canucks fans are complaining about Vey’s play as of late. He even scored a goal!
11. Jared McCann:
McCann didn’t have a bad week but his most memorable plays were his two unsuccessful breakaway attempts in New York. Future first liner!
12. Alex Edler:
Edler takes a lot of flack for his mistakes but at least he provides us with  reaction .gifs to explain his mistakes. When has Matt Bartkowski ever done that?

13. Jake Virtanen:
Far removed from his farm animal days, Virtanen scored the most exciting goal of his young career on Monday. Granted, it was the second goal of his career, but still. It was fun.
14. Jannik Hansen:
Jannik Hansen returned to the lineup this week reuniting the Peanut Butter and Jan line! Because of the Sedins and peanut butter thing
15. Alex Biega:
As usual, Biega has done pretty much what you’d want him to do. But this week he’s also in a .gif!
16. Adam Cracknell:
Adam Cracknell took some kids to meet some cops this week!
17. Alex Burrows:
Burrows saw an old friend this week (and tried to get the old friend’s good luck to rub off on him).
18. Luca Sbisa:
He’s back! Who didn’t miss that smile?
19. Derek Dorsett:
It’s not Derek Dorsett’s fault that Willie D kept him with the Sedins for a full game. But it happened. And it was rough.
20. Matt Bartkowski:
Luca Sbisa has been usurped.
21. Brandon Prust:
Well.
22. Yannick Weber:
Was scratched in favour of Taylor Fedun this week!
23. Brandon Sutter & Dan Hamhuis:
Still hurt! Sutter might make a push for his own rung on the rankings next week. Stay tuned.
24. Henrik Sedin & everyone:
When Henrik Sedin is in pain, everyone is in pain. After leaving Sunday’s game, Henrik may miss time and no one can enjoy that, not even Canucks fans who want Auston Matthews.
