We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve written this line already this season, but here we go again.

The Vancouver Canucks have more unfortunate injury news to report.

Hours before puck drop in their tilt with the Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced that the club had moved defenceman Travis Dermott from the IR to long-term injured reserve, as well as move Riley Stillman to the IR.

The Canucks now have two defencemen on LTIR, as Tucker Poolman was placed on the Canucks’ LTIR list earlier this week.

Dermott’s injury is especially frustrating, as it came as the result of him taking a seemingly innocent-looking bump at a practice prior to the season starting before telling Canucks medical staff that he was feeling woozy.

The Canucks placed forward Curtis Lazar on IR yesterday, and Allvin told reporters that Lazar will be out 3-4 weeks.
