As the Vancouver Canucks embark on a four-game road trip, head coach Bruce Boudreau gave updates on some of the club’s injured players.
  • Nils Höglander, who left practice a couple of weeks ago with a lower body injury that appeared to be a groin issue, will not travel with the team. There is no timeline on his return, according to coach Boudreau.
  • The same goes for defenceman Tucker Poolman, who unfortunately had a setback in his recovery after appearing close to returning. Poolman has been struggling with headaches and migraines since January, and despite taking full part in multiple practices as the extra defenceman in recent weeks, has not been on the ice with the main group as of late.
  • Jason Dickinson, who suffered an injury after colliding with the endboards after a collision with Erik Gudbranson during the Canucks’ 7-1 victory over the Calgary Flames, still hasn’t skated with the main group, and is progressing slowly by all accounts.
  • Kyle Burroughs skated today, but wore a non-contact jersey at practice. Boudreau said he’s close to being ready, and will travel with the team.
The Canucks will elect to carry 12 forwards and eight defencemen on this trip, which kicks off with a game against the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow evening at 6 PM Pacific.
