<p>Fresh off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Calgary Flames on Saturday night in a game in which both teams looked lifeless at best, the Vancouver Canucks are in Chicago looking for redemption against the Blackhawks.</p>
<p>Here are some notes on the Canucks&#8217; lineup tonight in Chicago.</p>

<li>Jaroslav Halak starts in goal tonight as the Canucks prepare for their final two games before the All-Star break in the form of back-to-back games.</li>
<li>Tucker Poolman remains out of the lineup. He doesn&#8217;t have COVID-19, but he &#8220;isn&#8217;t feeling well&#8221; according to head coach Bruce Boudreau who added that he&#8217;s not a doctor.</li>
<li>Tyler Myers won&#8217;t face discipline for his hit on Trevor Lewis, so he&#8217;ll be in the lineup tonight.</li>
<li>Bruce Boudreau said the Canucks will be icing the same defence group as the one they did against Calgary, meaning Noah Juulsen will once again slot into the lineup.</li>

<p>&#8220;Quite frankly, we didn&#8217;t play very good,&#8221; said Boudreau when asked to reflect on Saturday&#8217;s overtime loss to the Flames. &#8220;That&#8217;s the bottom line. It was a game that I hadn&#8217;t seen us play since I&#8217;ve been here. Our effort wasn&#8217;t good enough and we addressed it and we&#8217;ll get back to it today.&#8221;</p>
<p>We couldn&#8217;t have said it any better ourselves. The Canucks were abysmal in that game against Calgary, and it&#8217;s a miracle they even got out of it with a point.</p>
<p>Boudreau also talked about the workload being given to Quinn Hughes right now.</p>
<p>&#8220;I hope it&#8217;s 31 minutes,&#8221; Boudreau said when asked what Hughes&#8217; limit is. &#8220;I hope that&#8217;s the ceiling. I mean, I certainly hope it doesn&#8217;t get more than that. He&#8217;s not a big man but he skates so effortlessly, it makes it easy. But when you get down to five D and your best D is also killing penalties and playing the power play, he ends up playing more minutes than you would like. In a perfect world, he would play 24-25 minutes &#8212; that means everybody&#8217;s playing well. But hopefully it doesn&#8217;t happen too often, especially when you have a back-to-back like we do tonight.&#8221;</p>
