  • Cole Cassels played in 3 games, scoring 3 points (1
    goal, 2 assists), earning a +2 and 4 PIM.
  • Jared McCann played in 2 games and scored 1 goal and 4
assists, and earned a +2.  He will likely
see an increase in production for the rest of the season due to the influx of
talent, including Nick Ritchie and Anthony DeAngelo, the Soo picked up at the trade deadline.  Metro Vancouver have noticed McCann as he is outscoring Jake Virtanen.
  • Jordan Subban played in 3 games and scored 2 goals to go with
his -1 and 4 PIM.  He continues to lead
his team in scoring.  GM Jim Benning said the Canucks are excited about Jordan Subban and expect to sign him before the deadline.
  • Evan McEneny skated in 3 games with Kingston and scored 3
    assists, a -1 and 2 PIM.
  • Miles Liberati played in 3 games and scored 1 goal and 1
    assist, earning 4 PIM.
  • Kyle Pettit skated in 2 games and scored 1 goal and 1 assist
    to earn a -1.

  • Jake Virtanen played in 1 game and earned 2 PIM.  TSN ranked the top 30 affiliated prospects and the Canucks didn’t have a single player on the list, though they consider Virtanen as the Canuck’s top prospect not yet in the NHL. Virtanen was ranked as ESPN Scout Corey Pronman’s 19th best prospect [Insider Article].  Here’s what Pronman said about Virtanen:
Jake’s statistics have not been overwhelming at the WHL level this
season, after scoring 45 goals as a draft-eligible last season, but
there’s still a ton to like about his game. His skating is elite, he has
a good skill level, has a great shot and although he’s average in size,
he hits like a truck. He can work on some of his decisions, but he has
the tools to excite and create offense when nothing is seemingly there.
  • Anton Cederholm skated in 3 games, scored 1 assist and
    earned a +4.
  • Mackenze Stewart skated in 2 games and earned a -2.
