CANUCKS ARMY PRESEASON GDT#6 – CANUCKS VS. FLAMES

By Always90four

Your Vancouver Canucks welcome the remarkably lackluster Calgary Flames to Rogers Arena this evening and if you aren’t excited for this game, well sir/mam you have some serious issues. If you’re still with me and you’re willing to read to the end of this, this home game might cement a few jobs for your local sporting club so you should totally watch.

REASONS TO WATCH THIS PRESEASON GAME
- Normally, this is the time where we start talking about the Sedins and how they’ll be the only thing we can rely on for this season to have any meaning. Usually, that’s correct. However, this year’s crop of PTO’s, rookies and prospects has made the final cuts quite intriguing. Does Jack Skille and/or Tuomo Ruutu get a contract? Is Troy Stecher “Ben Hutton” good? All questions that warrant watching tonight.
- Hunter Shinkaruk played last night and he is fighting to make the Flames. Seeing him shut down would be a nice little feeling; kinda how you feel when you mention Cody Hodgson and how Nashville youth hockey was his ultimate calling. In all fairness, most of us did like him.
- The Blue Jays played at 1pm, no excuses now.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
How have they not signed this guy yet? Is it a height thing? Is he a vegetarian? I don’t get it.
MY TAKE
Canucks go 48% in the faceoff circle. How’s that for a random prediction?
DO THE CANUCKS WIN?
