On Friday’s episode of Canucks Conversation, Chris Faber and David Quadrelli broke down the Canucks’ 3-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night, talked about Spencer Martin getting claimed on waivers by the Columbus Blue Jackets, and much more!
One thing they talked about at length was the battle for the final few spots on the Canucks’ roster as we near the final three games of the preseason. Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has stated numerous times that the club will be icing a close to opening night lineup for their next three games as they look to prepare for their home opener against the Edmonton Oilers on October 11th.
Here are the players the guys identified as “bubble forwards”:
Vasily Podkolzin, Dakota Joshua, Linus Karlsson, Phil Di Giuseppe, Nils Aman, Jack Studnicka, Arshdeep Bains, Sheldon Dries, and Nils Höglander.
As for the “bubble defencemen,” these were the players Faber and Quads discussed:
Guillaume Brisebois, Christian Wolanin, Jack Rathbone, Akito Hirose, Matt Irwin, Jett Woo, Cole McWard, and Noah Juulsen.
Then, the guys took turns eliminating players from each group until they were left with four forwards and three defencemen. Watch the full segment below!
