Blackfish: Canucks Army Weekly Prospect Report – December 8th, 2016
alt
Dec 8, 2016, 19:00 ESTUpdated:
We have a new CHL scoring leader amongst Canucks prospects.
The NCAA prospects are battered and bruised – but some players got named to their countries WJHC preliminary rosters.
Also – if you haven’t heard, the Canucks have a goalie prospect who has been lights out for a while now.
All of that and more in everyone’s favourite prospect report – Blackfish!

  • Carl Neill of the Carl Neills’ takes over the Canucks CHL prospects scoring lead with 5 assists in four games this past week.
  • Brett Mckenzie was pointless in his one game this week. He still leads the Canucks CHL forward prospects in scoring.
  • Dmitry Zhukenov picked up a goal and an assist in 3 contests this past week. If he keeps the pace up, he could easily catch McKenzie.
  • Olli Juolevi with two assists in two games. He was named to Team Finland’s WJHC Preliminary roster. He is a lock to make the team.
  • Rodrigo Abols continues his torrid pace – he had three goals and two assists in two games this past week.
  • Guillaume Brisebois was held pointless in his two appearances this week. He is off to Team Canada’s WJHC evaluation camp.
  • Jakob Stukel had one assist in four games this past week.
  • Tate Olson with one assist in three games this past week.
  • Cole Candella was held off the scoresheet

  • Adam Gaudette suffered an undisclosed upper body injury and did not play this week.
  • Brock Boeser did not play this week due to the wrist injury. He was named to Team USA WJHC Preliminary roster – like Juolevi is a lock to make the team (health permitting)
  • No points for William Lockwood this past week.

  • Anton Cederholm was held pointless in his two games this week.
  • Lukas Jasek’s stats have been changed to Frydek-Mistek as he seems to be spending the most amount of time there – and actually playing.

    • Michael Garteig was with the Utica Comets this past week – given how well Demko has been playing, Garteig did not get a chance to play.

    Schedule

Guillaume Brisebois has been removed from the schedule this week – as he has already left for Montreal for the WJHC camp.
    Have a good weekend!
