For Canucks fans, the dreaded “dog days” of the 2023/2024 season have arrived, as the league’s best team is out of action until February 6th. Despite the league’s most entertaining team being out of action, the NHL won’t completely shut down for All-Star weekend till Thursday.
Monday will feature a light one-game slate as the Ottawa Senators host the Nashville Predators. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.

Player Prop

Forsberg has been absolutely incredible this season, scoring at a 38-goal pace, but has only scored one goal in his last seven games. This is a perfect spot to breakout against a Sens team that bleeds goals against ranking bottom three in the NHL.
Take this play at .8 units.

Player Prop

Tim Stutzle to register over 2.5 shots at -118. My $10 bet would return $18.50.
These odds are simply excellent for us. Stutzle has hit over 2.5 in four of his last five games, and the Preds are an average team in terms of shots against.
Take this play at .8 units also.

Main Markets

Nashville to win money-line at -110. My $12.50 bet would return $23.6
Yeah, come on now. Nashville is in the thick of a playoff race in the West, and every point counts, whereas the Sens are dead last in the East with nothing to play for. This is the hammer of the day, a pick ’em here is just appalling.
Take this play at a full unit.

Last Game Bets

Brock Boeser to score anytime at +155. My $10 bet would return $25.  – HIT
Ilya Mikheyev to register over 1.5 shots at -167. My $10 bet would return $16. – MISSED
Vancouver to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to score a point at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83. – HIT
Another shot away from a perfect night, we staked $32.50 and returned $45.83. We are now up $153.08 0n the year.
