Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Vancouver Canucks were able to shut down the league’s second leading marksmen in David Pastrnak, but unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for Linus Ullmark, who iced the game with a goal and foiled a late Canucks effort.
Next up for the Canucks is a quick trip on the road to face the Dallas Stars. Here are three straight bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Heiskanen, one of the most effective defenders in the league, has hit his over 2.5 in six of his last eight games. I like him again tonight.
Special Teams
Vancouver to score a power play goal at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.00.
Yes the Stars have the fourth ranked penalty kill in the league, but to get the Canucks power play at heavy plus money is something I would do every time, even in the absence of JT Miller.
Parlay
Dallas to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to register a point at -138. My $10 bet would return $17.27.
Dallas is rightfully heavily favoured tonight, so adding Pettersson, who has scored a point in eight of his last 10 games to move the line, is something I really like. Expect Pettersson to play a lot tonight in JT Miller’s absence.
Last Game Bets
Elias Pettersson to register over 3.5 shots at +100. My $10 bet would return $20. – MISSED
Brad Marchand to register over 2.5 shots at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50. – MISSED
Game to end with over 6.5 goals at -120. My $10 bet would return $18.33 – MISSED
First time we got swept in a while, we staked $30 and returned $0. We are now up $130.46 on the year.
