Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The main event for Hockey Day in Canada will feature Canada’s team hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs. It’s a major measuring stick game for Toronto, as they take on the league’s best team, the Vancouver Canucks. Vancouver has been rolling, going 7-1-1 in their last nine games and have beaten Toronto in 16 of their last 18 games at Rogers Arena.
Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
William Nylander to register over 3.5 shots at -150. My $12.50 bet would return $20.83.
Nylander was recently rewarded with a massive eight year $92 million contract and has been generating shots at a very impressive rate recently, hitting his over 3.5 in eight out of his last ten games. Nylander has also been successful against Vancouver, hitting his over in four of his last five matchups against the Canucks.
Take this play at a full unit.
Player Prop
Brock Boeser to score anytime at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.
The Canucks’ leading goalscorer has been unfortunate of late, having three goals in the last two weeks disallowed due to the coaches challenges. I like the lotto line to breakout tonight and Boeser to be a key cog in that, Boeser has been solid in matchups against the Leafs recently tallying seven points in his last five games against Toronto.
Take this play at .8 units.
Main Markets
Vancouver to win money-line at -125. My $10 bet would return $18.
Like I mentioned above, Vancouver is rolling, whereas the Leafs have been struggling, as they’re 1-4 in their last five games. No I’m not a homer, I like riding with the hot team!
Take this play a .8 units.
Last Game Bets
Dylan Guenther to score anytime at +300. My $6.25 bet would return $25. – MISSED
Canucks to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to score a point at -118. My $12.50 bet would return $23.12. – HIT
One Boeser shot away from a good night, we staked $28.75 and returned $23.12. We are now up up $169.01 on the year.
