Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on Brad Marchand to help put the dagger in the Leafs’ season

Photo credit: © Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports
Another day, another elimination game as the Toronto Maple Leafs come back home for a game six after keeping their season alive in Boston. With all signs pointing towards another first round failure, Matthew Knies struck 2:26 into overtime.
Toronto will once again be without the NHL’s leading marksman in Auston Matthews, as he’s expected to miss his second straight game with an illness.
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted game.
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ Joseph Woll (12-11-1) vs The Boston Bruins’ Jeremy Swayman (25-10-8)
Brad Marchand to score a point a -118. My $12.50 bet would return 19.16.
Again, this isn’t the type of play that’s going to “make you rich quick,” but it’s the type of play that could help your bankroll and eventually get you to up your unit size.
Marchand is a “Leaf killer.” He has scored 52 points in 53 career games against the Leafs and seven points in five games this series, including five points in the two games in Toronto.
I like this play so much I am going to “ladder” it, so we will run it again.
Brad Marchand to score two+ points at +220. My $6.25 bet would return $20
I like this play too much and have really profited on ladders in my own personal bets, so I wanted to introduce them here.
We’re risking 1.5 units here. If the base hits, we’ll essentially break even, and if he goes for two points, we win big. This is something I will continue to do in spots I really like.
Boston to win money-line at -130. My $12.5o bet would return $22.11.
I like Boston a lot tonight, especially without Matthews. I don’t think Toronto’s offence is nearly as dangerous, and Boston will do everything they can to not blow a 3-1 lead in back-to-back seasons.
Put a full unit here on Boston in 6.
Last Game Bets
JT Miller to register over 2.5 shots at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $22.50. -HIT
Quinn Hughes to register an assist at -125. My $10 bet would return $18. – HIT
Vancouver to score a power-play goal at -135. My $12.50 bet would return $21.75. – MISSED
Elias Lindholm to score a power-play point at +450. My $3.12 bet would return $17.60.- MISSED
It could have been a great night with a PP goal, but ultimately, we ended slightly in the green. We staked $38.12 and returned $40.50.
We are now up $8.93 in our first two days of the playoffs.
