The Canucks have just wrapped up their first full week of preseason hockey and they’re already busy – selling papers, attending galas, starring in various iconic movies, and looking seductively at chicken nuggets.
  • If there is a lanky Swedish goaltender shaped hole in your heart, Jacob Markstrom is here to fill it. Donning a paperboy cap, Markstrom sold newspapers on Raise-A-Reader day with Sven Baertschi. The whole thing was pretty cute.
  • The Canucks got dressed up to attend the Reveal Gala in support of the Canucks Autism Network. Vrbata wore a rare smile and Chris Tanev got a haircut! Finally!
  • Meanwhile, Cole Cassels was being a total 7th wheel:
  • Remember the Kevin Bieksa doppelgänger at Kraft Hockeyville? Don Cherry found him!

  • Last night’s contest between Vancouver and Arizona was less than thrilling until Adam Cracknell collided with his teammates, prompting Wyatt Arndt to go wild with Photoshop.
  • Somehow this nugget (for lack of a better word) escaped my notice. I really hope this is true. I hope that Jake Virtanen loves nuggets as much as Eddie Lack loves tacos. I hope he plays with Jared McCann so that the Canucks can have a McNugget line. I’m all in with this potential nugget obsession and I hope Jake is too.
