With the roster almost set for opening night, there are a lot of fresh faces on the Canucks. Read past the jump to get more acquainted with the young blood (literally, in Jake Virtanen’s case).

Jared McCann’s parents are the chillest people in the world. Their son texted them about making the Canucks roster and they basically replied with “Who is this?” and “K cool”:

Jared McCann didn’t get much reaction from his father when he called to tell him the big news this morning.
“My parents are on vacation right now,” said McCann, “so they were
like ‘who is this??’ My dad’s not a very emotional guy, he was like ‘oh,
okay, good luck.’”
