The Canucks took part in three spoiled home openers this week. With these came some fun celebrations, a swearing Sedin, and a weird but fun new nickname!
- The Canucks dressing room was a pretty happy spot after their first win of the season. Adam Cracknell’s dancing is something to behold, but more importantly, it looks like the Canucks call Matt Bartkowski “Big Country”.
A dressing room is a jovial place after a win – especially after that win.

- The Canucks do not call Matt Bartkowski “Big Country” but they do call Jake Virtanen “Big Country”!

- Take a look at the lead-up and follow-up to the Canucks season opener in Calgary. A very suave Bo Horvat is featured, as are the very proud McCann parents. Mr. McCann offered his son some advice on his shot after the game, so hopefully he was watching on Saturday night.
- How cool is Jared McCann? After celebrating like a pro, he and the captain shared the most casual fistbump ever.

- Dan Murphy’s reunion with Kevin Bieksa was proof that some things never change:
- After that win last night, the Canucks dressing room was once again a happy place. The most important thing here is that they bleep out Henrik saying “F***ing right, boys!”, probably because it’s just too Canadian and he’s got an image to keep up. Also, Sbisa appears to have taken on Bieksa’s role as loudest defenseman.
The #Canucks are in good spirits as they head into the locker room after spoiling the #Ducks home opener.

- And finally, Ryan Miller is the most winningest goalie in the shootout in NHL history. Very cool!
