In between finding new ways to lose on their road trip from hell, the Canucks are trying their best to have fun off the ice, with some fun behind-the-scenes photos, a very chatty Ben Hutton, and even an MTV doppelgänger:
- Hunter Shinkaruk made his NHL debut in Montreal last night. He looks a lot like Spencer Pratt.
- The Canucks are participating in Movember and were asked to name their favourite slang term for “moustache”. Jake Virtanen cannot handle the phrase “Dirt Squirrel”:
- Ben Hutton took over @VanCanucks this week and held a Twitter Q&A. Hutton is a lot of fun, admits to liking Aqua, and has an admirer in Jake Virtanen. He also essentially calls Alex Edler the Beyoncé of the Canucks, which I guess makes Chris Tanev Jay-Z.
- The always fun Behind The Lens photos returned this week. The full galleries are at Canucks.com and are always worth a look. Here are some highlights starring Erik Karlsson, soccer, and Dan Cloutier (!!!):
- Watch Alex Edler and Dan Hamhuis throw tape at hooks. I don’t really know why they are doing this but they seem both stressed out and entertained. Whatever works, guys.
