The Canucks do a fair amount of things quite poorly but one thing that they do well is prospect camp. Catch up on the children and all of their recent antics on the other side of the jump!
  • The latest Canucks first-rounder is Olli Juolevi and he is blogging from camp. Olli apologizes for his English, but he nails it. In his first blog discusses tennis balls and how excited he is to be at camp. Olli’s second blog documents he and his friend Arlo’s construction of a boat!
  • The tennis balls that Juolevi mentioned can be seen in action here – The prospects had to pass the tennis ball amongst themselves without using their arms. The resulting snapchats were interesting:
  • I really like this video of children surrounding the prospects and throwing water balloons at them. The kid in the orange lands a pretty good sucker punch.
  • The gang packed a lot into their week of camp. On top of the balloon fight, the boat building and a trip to a damage control unit (seriously), they participated in what looks like a somewhat disastrous water relay:
  • They also attended a Vancouver Canadians game, and Brock Boeser did this:

  • Speaking of Brock Boeser – he only tweets in one format and it’s amazing #sofunny:
  • Instead of continuing the blindfolded dodgeball tradition, the Canucks tried out blindfolded basketball. It was just as chaotic as you might imagine.
  • Will Lockwood participated in a Twitter Q&A and I’ve never felt more connected to a hockey player in all my life:
  • Thatcher Demko also did a Q&A, weighing in on Ross/Rachel and pizza toppings. Most importantly, Demko publicly dissed jean shorts (jorts).
  • Away from prospect camp, Canucks management has finally learned their tampering lesson after last week’s $50 000 fine. Proud of them!
  • Finally, a belated #tbt for you – these photos of Jake Virtanen and his famous former flame Chloe Grace Moretz make JV look like the biggest third wheel ever. Classic. Xoxo.
